SAFETY DRAWING CONTEST
THEME: "Safety Rules at our Schools"
Size: Drawings may not exceed 18 inches by 12 inches (including a mat if using). You may use regular paper, art paper, or poster board. The drawing mediums include pencil, crayon, colored pencils, and markers.
Originality: All entries must be the original design and art work of an individual student. A single entry done by two or more students is not permitted. The theme must be carried out in the drawing. Parents or others may not assist the student. Copywrited material may not be used.
Design: Lettering should be done by hand and should be neat and simple, with a minimum of words. Do not use stencils, magazine clippings or any kind of machine cut-outs. Only original artwork is accepted.
All participants are required to complete the official entry form which authorizes the Louisiana PTA free use of any entry in any manner deemed appropriate by the Louisiana PTA. Students who have not completely filled out the form will not be eligible for the program. A parent or legal guardian must sign the affirmation of originality and the permission clause.
The entry form must be securely fastened to the back of the drawing ~ masking tape works best.
The number of entries that can be submitted is one per student.
Entries that do not follow the guidelines or are received after the deadline will be disqualified.
Helpful suggestions:
~ Make sure you pay attention to the size requirements. If the entry is not within the guidelines, it will be disqualified.
~ The official entry form should be securely fastened to the back of the drawing.
~ It is recommended that you cover your entry with clear plastic wrap or place it in a large Ziploc bag. Entries are handled by many people and we want to make sure your entry stays intact.
DEADLINE: SAFETY DRAWING SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO THE SCHOOL OFFICE NO LATER THAN THURSDAY, DECEMBER 20TH, 2012.
