President’s Message

Happy New Year and welcome back to school! I hope everyone enjoyed the break and all the festivities that the holidays bring. In between the chaos of family gatherings and celebrations with friends, I had a moment to reflect on the past year and more importantly the first half of the school year. I realized I have so much to be thankful for. Not only am I thankful for my family and friends, but I am also thankful for all of you.

The first half of the year has come and gone with what feels like the blink of an eye. From Open House, and Cooks’ Nights out to Silent Auction and Carnival. Not to mention the school activities like Pizza Fridays, Book Fair, AR Treat Days, and Straight A Parties. And let’s not forget the behind the scene events such as directory sales, plain clothes day, picture days and room mom meetings. All of these events as well as each Facebook post, website update, and newsletter publication was done by a PTA volunteer. I often get asked if I “live” at school. I do not because our parents, grandparents, and PTA volunteers are invested in our children and make these events happen. For that, I am thankful.

I know the second half of the year will be just as exciting with fun activities for our families and children as well as our faculty and staff. PTA volunteers are busy at work already on events such as World’s Finest Chocolate Sales, EGM Fun Run, Teacher Appreciation Week and Field Day. So as I look forward to 2020, I am excited to see what the rest of this school year (and our PTA volunteers) brings! As always, please reach out with any questions, concerns or ideas. Our PTA is successful because of members like
